Aniket Dutta and Roshni Sen’s Ghost of the Golden Groves (Shonajhurir Bhoot) is a hard film to pin down: internationalist in its influences, experimental in its forms, and despite its very particular sense of place (the Sonajhuri forest in Bopur, West Bengal), it is far removed from what we have come to expect of either Bollywood extravaganzas or the Indian arthouse.
